Flow Cytometry Basic Training, or Flow Basics, is a 2 hour lecture-style seminar geared towards new users of flow cytometry (although seasoned veterans have picked up a few new things as well!). Although a general overview of flow cytometry is given, special emphasis is placed on the instrumentation itself. Topics include:

• Fluidics system
• Lasers, filters, and fluorochromes
• Detectors, and electronics (analog and digital)
• Data interpretation, plots, gating, stats

Beginning in January, 2009, Flow Basics will be offered every other week. You may register for Flow Basics at any time, on the facility's online instrument scheduler.
